Sectors

AI & ML attracted the most funds this window at 9, with AI Agents close behind at 6 — together accounting for nearly a third of all observed fund activity. Climate Tech, Fintech, and Cybersecurity each drew 3, 3, and 2 funds respectively, while Deep Tech: Photonics & Optics and Government & Space: Space Tech each registered 2 funds. The AI concentration is not incidental: foundation-model costs are falling fast enough that applied AI companies can now demonstrate revenue traction at seed, which satisfies the bar both generalist and specialist funds have raised since 2025. The photonics and space clusters reflect a parallel shift toward physical infrastructure bets as software-layer returns compress.
